JULY 2021

L and her 5 year old daughter arrived at the shelter on December 26th, fleeing violence from her ex-partner, and arriving with only 2 small bags of belongings.  L worked to regain her confidence and strength and was ready to move forward with a life free of violence. Beautiful gift baskets with a handwritten note, generous gift cards and cash donations, World Meats selection box, Le Delice pastries, cleaning supplies from Service Master, beautiful dresses (specially picked out for the little girl by another girl of the same age who the dresses still fit but who wanted to share), new sheets, lots of books, a Wii system and games....and more!!  Our members came together to provide a wonderful Fresh Start for L and her daughter.

The experience I had with you and everyone was truly amazing !! I couldn’t of asked for a better team to come and help me move especially on a long weekend ! I was really impressed with how hard working and friendly everyone was towards me and my daughter. Thank you all so so much

Our Second Client

Momma A and her 3 children (18, 16 and 9) were so excited to move from a local shelter to their new place and to start this new chapter free of violence in their new home. Our shelter contact says "they are amazing and active kids who are always on the move".  In under 40 hours, these wonderful items were collected, sorted, packed and delivered for this family of 4. When delivering the items to the shelter Sue was lucky to arrive at the right time:  "Momma Bear A & the youngest daughter arrived back at the shelter just as we were unpacking so I got to meet them and personally hand them the gifts - they are thrilled! And that’s before actually unpacking them. A couple days later we heard from the client:
